Livingston Community Shed is a friendly, welcoming community group based in Carmondean, inspired by the Men’s Shed movement. We’re a group of locals who enjoy spending time together, sharing skills, and getting involved in practical projects that benefit the wider community.
We meet at the Barn Café in Carmondean every Monday and Friday from 10am, where we usually start the day with a coffee and a catch-up. From there, we head to the garden behind the South Barn to work on a mix of activities.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays when the Barn Café is closed, we still meet up, and bring our own refreshments and get on with projects together.
Anyone is welcome to drop by, see what we’re working on, have a chat, and if you like the sound of it, get involved. There are no membership fees, unless you fancy buying a sausage roll at one of our bi-weekly picnics!
Livingston Community Shed brings people together through practical projects, shared skills, and a strong sense of community. We work on a wide range of hands-on activities, from woodworking, repairs, and shed building to gardening and maintaining local outdoor spaces; all while creating a welcoming place to connect and spend time together.
Everything we do is driven by teamwork and shared experience. Whether we’re supporting community gardens, building useful structures, or learning new skills along the way, the Shed is about purpose, wellbeing, and belonging. You don’t need any prior experience to get involved, just a willingness to take part, have a chat, and enjoy being part of something positive in Livingston.
Whether you’re looking to learn new skills, share what you know, or just enjoy a cuppa and a chat, you’re very welcome to join us. Drop in to one of our sessions and see what we’re all about. No pressure, no commitment, just friendly faces and good company.
